HEALTH CARE REFORM or WHEN OUR GOVERNMENT TAKES HOLD OF A PROGRAM , COMPANY, THOUGHT..

  Our legislators are listening to the clock ticking  and watching the time past till they get a hold and are able to vote on this ObamaCare.  I do not believe that the government taking over health care would be the best answer for our country.  Reforming the system could be done with more competition among states and of course tort reform, to name just two.  This week the governor of Massachusetts, being a friend of the President, hand picked a replacement for Senator Kennedy's seat.  Let it be known that the small representation of Republicans did try to stop it by going to court.  The court upheld and appointment ...... done deal.

Upon reading a fine article in the paper today by a college professor, Michael Gendre I found it important to make a point with his facts:

• The US Postal Service was established in 1775. Congress had 234 years to get it right. Now it is broke.

• Social Security established in 1935. Congress had 74 years to get it right. It is broke.

• Fannie Mae was established in 1938. Congress had 71 years to get it right. It is broke. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. Congress had 39 years to get it right. It is broke.

• The War on Poverty began in 1964. Congress had 45 years and $1trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to 'the poor'.

We can add Tarp, ACORN, and Cash for Clunkers to the above stimulus by the government and they too are all broke or at the least ill advised programs. We who are fortunate to still have a job and pay taxes will be paying these for many a years to come.
These programs were all budgeted at the time but the figures were wrong...broke...broke...broke...

The only thing we can afford to do is turn over these people that have run our government for way to long and start our up hill climb to a capitalist country and not give up any more of our rights or our health needs to the government.....
