Upon reading a fine article in the paper today by a college professor, Michael Gendre I found it important to make a point with his facts:
- The US Postal Service was established in 1775. Congress had 234 years to get it right. Now it is broke.
- Social Security established in 1935. Congress had 74 years to get it right. It is broke.
- Fannie Mae was established in 1938. Congress had 71 years to get it right. It is broke. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. Congress had 39 years to get it right. It is broke.
- The War on Poverty began in 1964. Congress had 45 years and $1trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to 'the poor'.
These programs were all budgeted at the time but the figures were wrong...broke...broke...broke...
The only thing we can afford to do is turn over these people that have run our government for way to long and start our up hill climb to a capitalist country and not give up any more of our rights or our health needs to the government.....
And the dems are planning to tax existing insurance plans plus, according to Podesta, implementing a Value Added Tax (VAT) as well.
ReplyDeleteTHIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!
Amen! I know of no program that the government has run successfully without a ton of inefficiency and waste. We need real representation in Washington. Representation that remembers "that government which governs best governs least."
