Unintended Consequences

 Helmet laws:
        
      Back in my biker-chick days, we had choices on wearing or not wearing a helmet.  Life is choices.  Isn't it great that we in America still have some.  Many in our government are so intent on saving everyone from their own vises or fate.  I used to smoke and made a decision to quit.  I drink a small diet cola on occasion and still sometimes "forget" to buckle the seat belt.  I was forced to recycle by the new "law" in town or my trash would not be collected.  Fingers crossed they do not stop making green plastic trash bags.
    The following story might be a little bleak to some but it does make a point to over regulations and over protections and over governing.  Geez, you think sun-roofs are still under the radar?????

Lack of helmets leads to more organ donations

 Wear a helmet, save a life. Don’t wear one, and you may save up to eight — none of them your own.

Gruesome, yes, but motorcycles are dubbed “donorcycles” for a reason, some say. One study found that states like Florida that repealed mandatory helmet laws saw not just a corresponding spike in fatalities, but a healthy bump in organ donations from people who died in traffic accidents, especially among adult males, who represent the majority of motorcycle fatalities
