College Town.................and

I have always said I do not believe everyone must go to college to succeed in life.  Tuition costs are going through the roof and fewer good jobs exist to pay the debt.  What happens to all the college monies?  Colleges should start to lower their tuition and bring down the salaries of the part time positions of college professors.

Boston University is buying streets off Commonwealth Avenue from the city of Boston, paying $11.5 million for the right to close Hinsdale Street, Blanford Street and Cummington Street to vehicle traffic, and turn the streets into pedestrian malls for students.

Salem University (once known as Salem College) has been expanding as well, buying all the surrounding homes and buildings that once held businesses and places where people worked and paid property taxes.  Tax base dwindling.........................
