I have been through at least two previous recessions. After both, we looked to our customers to rehire and for us to install new machinery and to resume everyday maintenance that had been put on hold. This recession is different. Industry is gone and industrial buildings have been replaced by low income housing and no where for those in that housing to find a job. The industrial parks are vacant. Just one view from a 65 year old company.

I am amazed at how much work one has to do to even get an interview these days.
