I walked into my office, like I have for the past 30 years, and my husband handed to me his thoughts written on paper as to the presidents remarks this past weekend. He, who is in the office and has been running this small family business for over 35 years.
I am glad to insert his feelings here:
You arrogant, pompous, son of a (insert here), Our 66 year old business that goes back 4 generations was built on the blood and sweat of my family. We used to prosper, now we barely survive. All this was accomplished in spite of government, not because of government!!! I have never been this angry in my life. I respect the office of our president - but this clown has to go!
Yes, he was a little bothered when the president stated this past weekend, as did Elizabeth Warren running for Senator in Mass., that no company has made it alone with out the help of the government.
One can really tell by that remark that these people have never run a business or signed a paycheck.
Great post, I posted my version / rant over at TBAA... Check it out, you might enjoy it as well...
ReplyDeletewhat an idiot this person is,no,sly and cunning! I fear he just might get re-elected...... Keep up the great posts and thanks for visiting.
DeleteIt is very enlightening when Mr. President goes off the teleprompter. I hope all entrepreneurs remember this comment when they go into the voting booth in November.
ReplyDeleteyes that would be nice but more people are dependent on some sort of government check and they are the ones who will again be voting for the progressives.....
DeleteI have had a sole-proprietor business for awhile---business license, quarterly tax payments, the whole list. It is incredibly difficult to create, build and maintain a business. Mine was never meant to be permanent. It was created to fill a short-term, about three years, need. Perhaps if I'd been better at marketing...
ReplyDeleteBut it was an incredible education.
If our youngest son decided to chose a different profession, we would be a 66year family business minus 10 years. We have seen our government do more harm to business than good.
