Don't let your babies grow up to be doctors.

Where have all the doctors gone?  Because I have been in industry, non-union, for  over 30 years, I can state for a fact,  when government makes it harder for private industry to make a living, private industry leaves.  This will soon follow in the medical industry if the mandated Obamacare is not overturned.  Who can remember, other than myself, as to when the pay scale was higher for private industry than for government employees?  Why spend so much time in schooling and money to better yourself with licenses and degrees if you are told at the end of the day by the government what you should be paid for a service or if a service is even necessary.   If this is happening in a heavy populated part of the country, what will happen in the rural parts of the country where it now takes longer time  to visit a doctor or even get to a hospital.

...happened quite awhile back, before 'Obamacare'.
You are right, if one wants to be a doctor to make a fortune, the countryside is a poor choice. Fortunately, there are still some altruisic folks who go into medicine to help the sick. If a kid going to college is interested in
    $$$, I would suggest banking.

  2. Thanks BB,
There will always be those to help the sick, and some might even be called doctor. If your interested in $$$$$, pick politics.
