You Won't Like It...................

WASHINGTON — With unemployment expected to rise well into next year even as the economy slowly recovers, the Obama administration and Democratic leaders in Congress are discussing extending several "safety net" programs as well as proposing new tax incentives for businesses to renew hiring.

"Safety net": Socialist lingo meaning........  those still fortunate to be working will pay for an additional 13 weeks of your unemployment till no one has a job left to pay you.  You will also receive a free flu shot and free medical care that those still fortunate to be working will also pay for you.  Your mortgage will be subsidized by those still working,  paying for yours and theirs.  You will also receive money, cash, from those still working, to buy your vehicle to go to the grocery store to use your food stamps.

Among the options for additional steps is some variation on Mr. Obama’s proposal during the stimulus debate to give employers a $3,000 tax credit for each new hire, which Congress rejected last winter partly out of concern that businesses would manipulate their payrolls to claim the credit. Another option would allow more businesses to deduct their net operating losses going back five years instead of the usual two; Congress limited the break to small businesses as part of the economic stimulus law.

The search for further remedies is part of a two-track effort in the White House and Congress. Democrats are also considering plans to continue through 2010 the extra unemployment assistance and health benefits available to people who are out of work for long periods. Also likely to be retained, some officials say, is a popular $8,000 tax credit for first-time home buyers that was included in the $787 billion stimulus law and has helped rouse a housing market that nonetheless remains shaky.

Why am I working?   Why am I a small business owner?  A  $6000.00 is the cost the company pays for the mandated  health insurance for one single employee per year.  If the company does not have the work and if the company does not have support from the bank for a loan why would a company look to hire new employees?  It is not because the phone in the office is ringing off the hook with people looking for a job, it is not!  ( Refer to previous "safety net" paragraph)   Who needs to work? Where is the incentive?  The government giveth and the government taketh away!

" A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have" ....... Thomas Jefferson
