Has Our Government Gotten Too Large

Three highly publicized cases are in the news of late and none of them look favorably on our law enforcement agencies, of which we have many:

Ohio

Officials said the three women were at times bound in chains or rope and endured starvation, beatings, sexual assaults and in the case of one of them, several miscarriages deliberately induced by their captor.
Their imprisonment came to an end on Monday after neighbors, drawn to the house by cries for help, broke through a door to rescue Amanda Berry, whose disappearance in 2003 the day before her 17th birthday was widely publicized in the local media.

It has been said that calls went to the police department on more than one occasion but for ten years these poor girls had no help from FBI or local police.  Thank God a brave hero took matters into his own hands, laws be damned, and helped one girl escape which in turn brought the case into the public eye.  Let us just see how the perpetrator and his accomplished are further taken care of by taxpayers and if justice will be served.

Boston

Katherine Russell, who continues to face questions from the US authorities, added Joshua Dratel to her legal team, her lawyer Amato DeLuca said. Dratel's "unique, specialised experience" will help ensure that Russell "can assist in the ongoing investigation in the most constructive way possible", said DeLuca.
Dratel has represented a number of terrorism suspects in US federal courts and military commissions, including Guantánamo Bay detainee David Hicks, who attended an al-Qaida-linked training camp in Afghanistan.

Here again, the authorities, all of them, dropped the proverbial ball and people did die.  These young men were not watched and in fact were supported by the taxpayer for years.  Did the police officers even find the second bomber, no, an alert citizen found him hiding in his back yard in his boat.
Why did not the police look themselves into the back yard sheds and boats????  These murders will also be well represented and spend years in our court system which again will keep many an officer, FBI, and judge occupied.

Washington
Three brave whistleblowers came forward on Wednesday and confirmed that there was, in fact, a firm “stand down” order given after the U.S. compound in Benghazi came under attack. Whistleblower Gregory Hicks, the former deputy chief of mission in Libya and the highest ranking official in the country at the time of the attacks, testified that he was “effectively” demoted shortly after questioning talking points that later proved to be demonstrably false. Hicks also revealed that he was told not to speak with an investigating Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) alone.

Third case where people lied and people died.  Did the 'public service' workers do there job?
is it just ineptitude or is the quality of the government employee surpassed only by the numbers of them.  This story will continue for months again and people will continue to lie and cover their asses.
Will the president be vindicated, yes.  Did Hillary lie, oh, what she has not lied before?  All politicians lie, that is how they stay in office for year after year (Mark Sanford).  Hell, even Senator Kennedy killed a woman and managed to stay in office.  It is not who you are but what you give out that matters.  And as far as the police departments, I expect more than to hire more cops and to give out more parking tickets.  Don't tell me there is just not enough of you if those who are on the job, just do it!!!!

  1. Do you even need to ask this question? Just the fact some big black man wearing rubber gloves wearing a federal uniform felt me up on my way back into the United States from Cancun two weeks ago assured me the government has way to much power. I said "oh baby" all the way through the pat down as the other screener tried to tell me the full naked body scanners use NO radiation. I hate what America is becoming.
