Six in ten Americans, including Catholics, said they support a
requirement by the Obama administration that health plans supply free
contraceptives as a preventive benefit for women, according to the
latest tracking poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Women were divided, with 85 percent of Democrats and 67 percent of
Independents supporting the requirement but only 42 percent of
Republicans. Women across the political spectrum typically are closer
together when it comes to supporting contraception rights.
"This is a time where the party attitudes about the role of
government seemed to be a greater factor than necessarily being a
woman," said Mollyann Brodie, the foundation's director of public
opinion and survey research.
If someone told you you would get free food and healthcare, how would you vote? If you were told you are entitled to have free housing and a free cell phone, how would you vote? If you lost your job and I offered to send you a check for three years to cover your expenses, how would you vote? If I told you I was going to charge your next door neighbor more than you in property tax, how would you vote? If the last spaceship leaving for the new colony on the planet Happytown only had one seat left and the choice would be to give it to a doctor or a politician, how would you vote?
If I was in the cave and went out everyday to hunt and shared my bounty and you stayed in the warm cave and napped, how long would it take for me to continue the hunt..........................alone?????
