When hack was a verb......................

A group of computer hackers claims to have breached NATO security and accessed hordes of restricted material.
The group called Anonymous says it would be "irresponsible" to publish most of the material it stole from NATO but that it is sitting on about 1 gigabyte of data.

Why is it, every other day it seems, another breach happens of computer information that we were told was private and secure.  This is not funny anymore but the person who takes your morning coffee order wrong is now in charge of security of all computer information? Where is the trust, honesty, not to mention ability, in doing one's job and doing it correctly.
Long ago when I started working everything was written down in a ledger, on sales slip, or in receipt book.  Today we still have a policy that our employees carry a pencil and paper and are expected to use it.  I am all for technology, hell, I own an iphone and love it.    Just saying, in the land of much, maybe simply ways could still be helpful if not needed in both communications, responsibility, and crime and punishment.
