Forbes: Yankees 86% more valuable than Sox

An annual analysis by Forbes Magazine ranks the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox as baseball’s first and second most valuable teams. The Yankees have an estimated value of $1.7 billion, significantly ahead of the Sox estimated value of $912 million. The Boston Globe reports that the ranking lists the third, fourth and fifth most valuable teams as the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago Cubs  and the New York Mets.
