Does this country still make wax paper, and does anyone other than myself remember using it?

Being a firm believer that our kids are in class to learn reading, writing, and math, this story had to be shared.
Our students (American) are 37th in the world in math but make sure your kid knows the evil of using a plastic sandwich bag....huh?
A couple in Laval, Que. (Canada) has sparked a fierce debate over how far schools should go to teach children about environmental responsibility after their six-year-old son was shut out of a kindergarten draw to win a stuffed animal because he had an environmentally unfriendly sandwich bag in his lunchbox.

  1. They still make Wax Paper, and I use it to cover food I'm reheating in the microwave, Di! The poor little tyke, getting singled out for using a sandwich bag? What would the lefty nit wits have him do, wrap his sammie in used toilet paper? I'm sure they'll outlaw that next.
