Some Good News from Senator Scott Brown

Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown yesterday urged President Obama to forge a bipartisan energy plan because there is “no interest or appetite” for more taxes.
The Bay State Republican’s visit to the White House came the day after Obama suggested in a national address that he’ll use the Gulf oil disaster as leverage to push a comprehensive energy bill, which could include a controversial cap-and-trade provision that would slap limits and penalties on companies that spew carbon pollutants into the air.
Brown got some indirect support from two Bay State Democrats, who downplayed the possibility of a massive energy and environmental bill passing this year.
